This page lists the public parking the City of West Palm Beach, Florida publishes for downtown, with each rate, limit and rule as the City’s Parking & Mobility Administration printed it on October 20, 2026. Where two City pages disagree, we show both. Three private garages and lots publish their own rates, and we list them separately and label them private.

Where should I park?

Pick where you are going and choose what day you are coming on: a weekday, a weekend or holiday, or a GreenMarket Saturday. The picker ranks the City’s garages and lots by straight-line distance from that place and shows the City rate for that day. Private garages, where they appear, are labelled private and keep their own rates. If the picker does not load, it prints the full list as a table.

On-street parking: Downtown meters run from $1.00 to $2.50 an hour by zone. Zone A, the highest-demand blocks, is $2.50 an hour with a 2-hour limit and runs 7 am to midnight; Zone B is $1.50 an hour (4-hour limit, 7 am to 9 pm); Zone C is $1.00 an hour (6-hour limit, 7 am to 7 pm). Rates and zones are on the City's interactive parking map and on each meter. The hours of operation come from Resolution 191-22, which the City's Rates & Payment page cites as the rate authority; the Rates & Payment page itself does not list meter hours. Walking times are straight-line estimates from OpenStreetMap coordinates, not measured routes. Rules and rates are the City’s own words, checked 2026-10-20; signs on the day win.

City garage rates

The City’s five garages share one rate table. They are open 24/7, per Resolution 191-22, and take cash and credit card. For the $5 weekend flat rate, the City’s parking map adds “Credit Card Only on Entry”, so have a card ready at the gate (City: Rates & Payment).

A note on event rates: the City’s current Rates & Payment and Parking Garages pages say special event rates go “up to $100”. Resolution 191-22, lists special events at $5.00 to $40.00, and the City’s parking map says “Up to $40.00”. We print the current page’s figure. Read the sign at the entrance on event nights (Resolution 191-22).

  • The City lists five garages: Banyan Street Garage (200 Banyan Boulevard), City Center Garage (400 Banyan Boulevard), Clematis Street Garage (500 Banyan Boulevard), Evernia Street Garage (333 Evernia Street) and Sapodilla Garage (645 Clematis Street). City of West Palm Beach: Parking Locations
  • The City says its Parking and Mobility Services offers more than 3,600 parking spaces. City of West Palm Beach: Parking Locations

The City’s parking map layer, not its web pages, gives space counts: 289 at Banyan, 275 at City Center, 489 at Clematis Street, 787 at Evernia and 232 at Sapodilla.

Two garages, two addresses each

The City’s Parking Locations and Parking Garages pages put the City Center Garage at 400 Banyan Boulevard; its GreenMarket page, its EV page and Resolution 191-22 say 401 Banyan Boulevard, and the library’s page gives 199 North Dixie Highway. The Sapodilla Garage is 645 Clematis Street on the Parking Locations page and 640 Clematis Street on the GreenMarket page. We use the Parking Locations numbers, and the picker shows both (City: Parking Locations).

Meters by zone, and ParkMobile

The City says meter rates run from $1.00 to $2.50 an hour depending on location, and that its system has more than 3,600 public spaces, about 1,500 of them on the street.

ZoneRateTime limitHours (Resolution 191-22)
Zone A (blue on the City map)$2.50 an hour2 hours7:00 am to midnight
Zone B (red)$1.50 an hour4 hours7:00 am to 9:00 pm
Zone C (orange)$1.00 an hour6 hours7:00 am to 7:00 pm

The hours come from Resolution 191-22, effective August 1, 2022. The current Rates & Payment page gives the rates and time limits but not the hours, so check the meter. The City does not publish a day when meters are free, and we do not assume one.

To pay, the City names ParkMobile. Pull into the space, look for the green ParkMobile logo, and start a session in the ParkMobile app or by calling 1-877-727-5714; when asked, enter the space number. The City does not publish ParkMobile zone numbers. ParkMobile texts you 15 minutes before the session ends. Meters also take credit cards and coins, but only quarters and one dollar coins.

GreenMarket Saturdays

During market hours, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the City says parking is free at the City Center Garage, the Clematis Street Garage and the Sapodilla City Garage. The Banyan Garage (200 Banyan Boulevard) and Evernia Garage (333 Evernia Street) are closest to the market and charge the $5 all-day weekend rate. From 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the 100 to 400 blocks of Clematis, plus Olive, Dixie and Flagler between Banyan and Datura, are closed to traffic, so plan to reach the garages along Banyan Boulevard; the Clematis Street Garage is entered from Banyan Blvd. only.

The City’s GreenMarket page still uses the 401 Banyan and 640 Clematis addresses for two of the free garages. More on the GreenMarket page.

Concert nights and event days

For Clematis by Night, Thursdays 6 to 9 p.m. on the Great Lawn, the City names the Banyan garage at Banyan Boulevard and Narcissus Avenue as closest. For the Meyer Amphitheatre, 105 Evernia Street, it names the Evernia garage. The Palm Beach International Boat Show runs March 17 to 21, 2027 along Flagler Drive. The weekend $5 rate excludes special events, so check the date checker before you go and read the sign at the entrance.

Private garages and lots

These are not City parking. Their operators set the rates below, and the City’s weekend rate and GreenMarket free hours do not apply.

  • Brightline West Palm Beach garage, 260 Quadrille Plaza Drive: a gateless garage open 24 hours. Its parking page lists $15 pre-paid, valid until 3:59 am the next day, or $20 at the station, charged hourly. The same site’s South Florida summary says parking starts at a flat $12 per day booked in advance, walk-up rates begin at $20, and monthly passes start at $89. Check the price in the app when you book (Brightline: Parking).
  • CityPlace Hibiscus Garage: first hour free on weekdays before 5pm, $7 after 5pm Monday to Thursday, $10 after 5pm Friday and $10 on weekends, plus taxes and fees. The Hibiscus Street entrance is closed until spring 2027; enter from Okeechobee Blvd. Full table on our shopping page.
  • Norton Museum of Art lot, 1501 South Dixie Highway, across from the museum: $3 an hour for up to three hours, for museum visitors during museum hours, paid with ParkMobile; free for Norton Members. The Norton warns that cars parked outside museum hours, or while the driver is not on campus, may be stickered, immobilized or towed at the owner’s expense (Norton).
  • Brightline says the West Palm Beach station has a gateless parking garage open 24 hours; riders can add daily parking when booking or pay on arrival by scanning QR codes on the garage signs. Brightline: West Palm Beach Train Station
  • Brightline says South Florida station parking starts at a flat $12 per day when booked in advance, walk-up daily rates begin at $20 per day, and monthly passes start at $89 per month. Brightline: Parking Made Easy

Fines and appeals

Resolution 191-22 lists these City parking fines: expired meter $35.00 ($75.00 for a second offense within 6 months and $150.00 for a third within 1 year); non-moving violations $60.00; disabled parking $250.00; fire lanes and hydrants $75.00; truck parking $150.00; late fee $25.00; immobilization fee $50.00. To appeal a City citation, the City says you must request a hearing within fourteen calendar days (City: Parking & Mobility).

Monthly permits

  • General garage permit: $100.00 plus tax a month, 24/7 access.
  • Residential garage permit: $80.00 plus tax for West Palm Beach residents without parking at their building, with proof; not offered at the City Center Garage.
  • Hospitality workers: $50.00 plus tax, space available.
  • Lot permits: $50.00 plus tax at the Palm Beach Post Centennial, Howard Park and Fishing Club lots; no commercial trucks.
  • On-street permits: bought and renewed through the City’s online permit portal, with limited availability, including an on-street motorcycle permit (City: Parking Permits).

The Parking & Mobility Administration office is at 500 Banyan Boulevard, (561) 822-1500, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Residents’ details are on our living downtown page.

After hours, accessible parking and EV charging

The City says its garages have 24/7 security monitoring, patrols and emergency call boxes. For an after-hours escort to your car, call 561-818-3667, and a team member can meet you at the entrance of any City garage (City: garage security and contacts).

The City says accessible parking is in all five City garages, near elevators or entrances. It does not publish counts per garage. The Norton has accessible parking in its main lot and a drop-off circle at South Dixie Highway and Jefferson Road. The City’s EV page lists Blink chargers at the City Center, Clematis Street and Evernia garages.
